About
About Karl Buckland
I live in Tonbridge, Kent, England and I’m 22 years old. I’m a web developer in the last year of my degree at the University of Kent, who focuses mainly on web-related programming languages such as PHP and J2EE as well as client side languages such as XHTML, CSS and Javascript. I also love Linux (specifically Ubuntu) and regularly play computer games on PC and the Gamecube.
I also co-run a web design forum, known as Webradiance, which takes up a good portion of my time as I post comments/answers and improve the website with new features.
Away from computers, I enjoy cycling, juggling and over the last year I have been learning Karate. I also have a passion for drumming (however I currently don’t have a kit!) and music in general, especially Progressive Rock. You can see the music I listen to in real time on Last.fm. I love to read and am currently working my way through the Discworld novels, but I also love films and watch 1-2 films a week.
About digital end
The phrase ‘digital end’ means nothing in particular, but the site is simply a staging ground for my thoughts, ideas and to tell the world a little about me. The site is powered by WordPress because I think it’s a great blog tool and CMS. You should use it. This theme is a heavily modified combination of the famous Wordpress Kubrick theme and the Ocean Mist theme by Ed Merritt.
